Abstract: This paper uses data from the 13th China Private Enterprise Survey (CPES) to examine the impact of government meeting surveys on the innovation vitality of private enterprises. Research has found that government meeting surveys have a significant role in promoting corporate innovation. Mechanism analysis shows that for entrepreneurs, government meeting surveys promote corporate innovation by improving private entrepreneurs' policy perception and self-status preception. For the government, government meeting surveys help improve the construction of business environment and provide environmental support for corporate innovation. Heterogeneity analysis has found that, relatively speaking, in the enterprise group without political experience, government meeting surveys can play a better role in promoting enterprises innovation. Finally, government meeting surveys can boost the development confidence of private entrepreneurs and help them cope with expected economic and social risk impacts.
