Abstract: The problem of rat race is a product of economic and social development at a certain stage. To deeply analyze the formation mechanism of rat race competition, it is necessary to approach it from multiple perspectives such as market, technology, industry, and system. To comprehensively rectify the rat race competition, it is necessary to adhere to the coordinated efforts of an effective market and a proactive government, break down administrative barriers through the construction of a unified national market, and eliminate market segmentation. We should break through the dilemma of low-end lock-in through technological innovation and cultivate new development driving forces. By enhancing the independent development capability of enterprises, promoting local government administrative reform, and advancing industrial policy transformation and upgrading, the pressure of rat race competition will be transformed into external expansion power, injecting strong momentum into high-quality economic and social development.
