Zhang Yueyou, Liu Zhibiao: How Will China's Economy Respond to the Triple Roadblocks in Globalization Process?

Release time:2022-06-22Author: Zhang Yueyou, Liu Zhibiao

At present, the economy is encountering certain difficulties, which to a certain extent are greater than those when the epidemic hit hard in 2020. The manufacturing is the first to bear the brunt.

From a long-term perspective, this paper analyzes the impact on China of the current decoupling trend between China and the United States, the century epidemic, and the Ukraine crisis. The article believes that in general, the United States' containment of China's rise is the source of China's poor economic circulation. The century epidemic and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine have partially offset its adverse impact on China's external economic circulation and the connection of internal and external circulations involving resource supply. In order to eliminate the adverse impact of the roadblocks in globalization process on China's economy, this paper believes that we should start from the following points:

First, lead the re-globalization and provide leadership for global governance.

Second, smooth the domestic circulation and focus on solving the problems in the service industry.

Third, smooth the circulation and connection between China and foreign countries, especially in terms of technology.
