Grounding its effort in the new development stage, China is committed to applying the new development philosophy, creating a new development dynamic, and promoting high-quality development(Three New and One High). As we all know, scientifically reflecting and counting GDP is an important basis for implementing the Three New and One High development strategy and analyzing the effectiveness and progress of the strategy, and it is an important guideline for the reform and development of national statistics in the new era. In practice, the importance of iterative upgrading of statistics has become increasingly prominent. This article first analyzes many typical problems in the specific GDP statistical practice, and summarizes them into eight points and illustrates them with examples. Then the article provides the following countermeasures and suggestions for the iterative upgrading of GDP statistics:
1. Under the condition that green GDP is difficult to fully push forward, we should unswervingly explore the green content in the existing GDP statistics.
2. Under the implementation of the three new and one high development requirements, we should unswervingly explore the value in the existing GDP statistics.
3. Under the condition of undertaking major national development tasks, we will unswervingly promote statistical pilot projects in key areas.
4. Under the condition of regional competition to accelerate high-quality development, we should unswervingly promote accurate GDP statistics.
5. With statistics under the rule of law, we should unswervingly promote the scientificity and standardization of the statistical system.
6. On the basis of consolidating the development of Three New and One High, we should unswervingly promote the construction of high-quality statistical teams.
