In 2005, President Xi proposed the Two Mountains Theory, pointing out that by transforming environmental advantages into economic advantage, lucid waters and lush mountains will become invaluable assets. Therefore, the key to the Two Mountains Theory lies in promoting the transformation of ecological advantages into economic advantages, so as to realize the value of ecological products. Realizing the value of ecological products can not only reflect the paid use of resources and environment, but also provide new boosters for China's high-quality development, and promote coordinated urban-rural development.
Taking the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone as an example, this article analyzes the main problems in realizing the value of ecological products based on on-site research on the current situation. This article points out that we have achieved outstanding results in reducing emissions in terms of ecological governance. However, in terms of cross-regional ecological value mining, transformation, and realization, we are still in the start-up stage.
This article further proposes the path to realize the value of ecological products in demonstration zone. In the future, the demonstration zone must develop integrated system and mechanism innovation, focus on the full cycle of realizing the value of ecological products, further establish relevant institutional systems, and accelerate the exploration of effective paths for the transformation of ecological advantages.
