In this paper, we analyze the Report on the Work of the Government of 11 provincial capitals in the Yangtze River Economic Belt using Python to extract the highest frequency two-word and three-word phrases. The resulting word cloud visualizes the top phrases and allows us to identify the future work focus of provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Our research indicates that promoting high-quality economic development and accelerating the construction of modern China are top priorities for various provinces in the region. While the wording and writing style of the reports are similar across the provinces, the specific focus areas differ slightly between provincial capital cities in the Yangtze River Delta and other provincial capital cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Many provinces are prioritizing supporting market entities, stabilizing employment, and ensuring people's livelihoods. They are also focused on digital transformation and the development of manufacturing, which is crucial for the real economy. Additionally, industrial chain development and industrial park construction are also receiving attention.
