In 2021, China entered the aging society with international standards, while Jiangsu has entered the aging society three years earlier. In 2021, the aging level of Jiangsu's population is more than three percentage points higher than that of the whole country, and it is compounded by a severe situation of fewer children and a decrease in the working age population. To actively respond to the aging society, it is necessary to comprehensively consider relevant factors, combine short, medium, and long-term perspectives, and work together from multiple dimensions such as human, financial, material, and social environment. Given that the human dimension involves a large amount of content, this article mainly explores the potential space and feasible strategies in Jiangsu's financial, material, and social environment dimensions, focusing on the following aspects:
1、 Jiangsu's potential space for actively responding to an aging society
① The sustainability, coverage, and level of protection of the elderly social insurance system need to be improved
② The adequacy, balance, and inclusiveness of the development of the elderly service industry urgently need to be further enhanced
③ The social environment and policy ecology that are conducive to inclusive governance of elderly society still need to be improved
