Abstract: As key players in their respective niche sectors, specialized and sophisticated enterprises play a vital role in the development of a modern industrial system by ensuring industrial security, optimizing supply-demand structures, enhancing quality and efficiency, stimulating the momentum of three modernizations, and expanding development opportunities. Currently, as the development of specialized and sophisticated enterprises drives the construction of a modern industrial system, multiple challenges—including insufficient strategic alignment, imbalances in supply-demand matching, misalignment between value and demand, poor innovation commercialization, and differences in adaptation logic—are hindering the full realization of these enterprises’ competitive advantages. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt practical approaches—such as strengthening strategic coordination, improving the supply-demand matching system, refining value recognition mechanisms, facilitating innovation commercialization channels, and optimizing the support system for alignment—to better leverage the positive role of specialized and sophisticated enterprises in the development of a modern industrial system.
