President Xi Jinping took part in the deliberation of Jiangsu delegation at the first session of the 14th National People's Congress, and pointed out that we should continuously improve the commercialization and industrialization level of scientific and technological achievements, and focus on building an industrial sci-tech innovation center with global influence.
To build an industrial sci-tech innovation center with global influence in Jiangsu, we need to consider our own characteristics within the framework of the national innovation strategy, target the general direction of technological progress, and aim at the frontiers of world science and technology. We should make significant breakthroughs in core technologies, and accelerate the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements relying on Jiangsu's advanced manufacturing base.
During the process of building an industrial sci-tech innovation center with global influence, this article summarizes seven key points that Jiangsu needs to follow:
1. Strengthen the industrial planning and coordinate the development of key industrial clusters.
2. Increase financial support, establish special funds, and build the brand image.
3. Strengthen the industry-university-institute cooperation and improve the commercialization rate of scientific and technological achievements.
4. Improve the fiscal and taxation system and pay attention to the cultivation of local enterprises as well as specialized and sophisticated enterprises.
5. Strengthen international cooperation and enhance the global influence of core industries.
6. Attract talents and encourage technology talents to enter innovative enterprises.
7. Encourage basic research and promote the development of basic industries.
