As factor mobility becomes the most critical aspect of contemporary globalization, “factor division” is the new form of international labor division. The traditional international trade theory, which assumes that the productive factors do not flow internationally, is unable to explain the modern phenomena and issues of contemporary international trade. Thus, it must be innovated.
Factor division has a fundamental influence on the basis, trade pattern, trade interests, trade policy, trade strategy, and other parts of international trade. The book tries to explore some fundamental issues of international trade theory in an innovative manner while providing a theoretical explanation for China’s open development practice by taking the Yangtze River Delta as its case.
