Release time:2026-05-18Author: Liu Zhibiao and Yan Wenqin

Abstract: As a prime example of intelligent manufacturing, "Lighthouse Factories" are gradually becoming a key window through which to observe a nation's manufacturing capabilities and future development potential. With their scale advantages, technological innovation, and global influence, the development of China's "Lighthouse Factories" is reshaping the global manufacturing landscape, marking a fundamental shift from "Made in China" to "Intelligent Manufacturing in China". China is transitioning from a "manufacturing powerhouse" to a "standard-leading intelligent manufacturing powerhouse", gradually establishing its leadership in smart manufacturing standards; its explorations in green manufacturing have become a key reference for global sustainable industrial transformation; Through the synergy of smart manufacturing and digitalization, China is providing a "Chinese solution" for reshaping global value chains and enhancing their resilience; by taking the lead in exploring human-machine collaboration, job redesign, and innovations in vocational education, China has provided practical models for the transformation of global manufacturing human resources; simultaneously, it offers new approaches to resolving the global "pilot dilemma", provides a replicable modernization pathway for the "Global South", and delivers a Chinese solution for the global manufacturing sector's transition toward "smart symbiosis".
