Abstract: Building an independent knowledge system of Chinese economics cannot be divorced from China's actual conditions, nor can it simply replicate Western theories. It must be founded on the systematic distillation of China's economic development experience and patterns. Systematically distilling China's development experience serves as the logical starting point for building an independent knowledge system of Chinese economics; the identification of defining categories is the core component of constructing the categorical system of Chinese economics; and Xi Jinping's economic thought is the fundamental guideline for building this independent knowledge system. We must take the vast array of phenomena and typical facts from China's economic practice as our starting point, use defining categories as our core, and aim for a theoretical system, thereby continuously advancing independent innovation in Chinese economics.
