At the Expert Symposium held on November 14, 2014, Premier Li Keqiang said, "We are quite sure that the main goals and tasks of this year will be well accomplished, but increasing uncertainties in the current international environment and divergent trends of economic growth in different areas or industries in China have also brought huge challenges. In order to do a good job in economic work, we should implement new concepts of development, formulate and improve macro policies, focus on building a solid basis for steady development, take concrete measures to accumulate strength for making progress, appropriately expand aggregate demand, focus on promoting supply-side structural reform, attach more importance to improving quality and efficiency, and continue to expand the positive trend of economic growth." Based on this, Professor Liu Zhibiao, Dean of Yangtze IDEI, identified the main content of the online seminar, including conducting a prospective study on the key issues proposed in the Central Economic Work Conference, continuing the discussion at the last seminar and analyzing how to “achieve steady and sound improvement”. At the seminar, he encouraged the attending experts and scholars in various industries to exchange opinions and propose suggestions from the perspective of their familiar areas.
