The current situation and problems of Jiangsu's open economy include: strong development of open economy, gradual appearance of external pressure, vigorous growth of foreign investment, and insufficient utilization of FTA. To promote the development of open economy, Jiangsu can learn from domestic experience: firstly, promote investment growth with free trade area; secondly, foster trade growth with free trade agreement; thirdly, advance economic development by docking national strategy. Therefore, we suggest Jiangsu to establish the forward goal to build a support system, evaluate the free trade agreement and declare the free trade area, as well as create a value platform to form the enterprise alliance.
