The current situation of industry and Internet in Jiangsu Province is as follows: there are obvious industrial advantages, but also with shortcomings; the Internet is developing well, but there still exist room for progress; the integration of industry and Internet is generally low and needs to be further strengthened; the integration of industry and Internet is still mainly downstream, which requires to be expanded upstream. The integration of industry and Internet promotes the upgrading of manufacturing industry, including intelligent hardware equipment, intelligent manufacturing equipment, cloud computing and big data, and industrial production mode. The integration of industry and the Internet drives the upgrading strategy of Jiangsu's manufacturing industry as follows: first, strengthen government guidance and introduce development path planning; second, build an industrial cloud service platform to improve the ability to deeply integrate industry and the Internet; third, enhance equipment manufacturing and strengthen Internet embedding ability; fourth, construct industrial clusters and improve the ability to develop smart devices; fifth, attach importance to the training and introduction of high-tech talents to create a new highland of talents.
