Release time:2016-08-22Author: Tang Qiguo

Old-age education is an education that comprehensively improves the quality of the elderly and their quality of life, which is an important part of the lifelong education system. Mankind has entered an aging society, and the education for the elderly in developed countries was born earlier and developed quickly. With the old-age population in China growing rapidly, despite the fact that the development of old-age education is also fast, its growth rate cannot keep up with that of the elderly population, and the contradiction between demand and supply of old-age education is becoming increasingly acute. Studying this contradiction and proposing appropriate solutions are of certain significance for the healthy development of education for the elderly. The rapid development of old-age education can not cover up the contradiction between demand and supply of education for the elderly, and it is predicted that this contradiction will become increasingly acute. The factors that affect the contradiction between demand and supply of old-age education include economic, social and cultural factors. Therefore, it is suggested that we should develop social productive forces and straighten out distribution relations to strengthen social and cultural support.
