Abstract: The international empirical research founds that promoting technological innovation is the main point to deal with the challenge of the middle-income trap, and it plays an irreplaceable role in moving towards high-quality growth and high-income stage. The most urgent issue for China to overcome the middle-income trap is to build a long-term development force to overcome the middle-technology trap. The important reason for falling into the middle-income trap is that the support strength for long-term development within the economic system is insufficient. The technological innovation has the characteristics of long-term and high-risk, which determines that we need to allocate more development resources to long-term and important things, instead of things that currently seem urgent. To truly overcome the most important obstacle and core issue that constrain our technological and economic development, it is necessary to establish long-term values and development concepts. We should build long-term capital guarantee, institutional mechanism structure, and the way of act that coordinate with the values, encouraging long-term investment in production factors.
