Release time:2023-08-08Author: Wu Yuenong

Xinjiang has always been a hot tourist destination. After being severely affected by the epidemic for three years, Xinjiang is now entering a high-speed recovery period. The tourism is an important pillar industry for stabilizing and enriching the people in Xinjiang. According to the actual situation of Xinjiang, we can implement special policies that focus on developing the cultural tourism industry and encouraging active participation from all sectors of Xinjiang.

The special policy should encourage the mainland people to take Xinjiang as the first tourist destination, enrich their tourism experience in Xinjiang, and promote their experience growth. The policy also needs to enhance the common understanding and love of the mainland for Xinjiang, and strengthen the kinship between the mainland people and Xinjiang ethnic families, so as to promote the extensive contacts, comprehensive exchanges and in-depth integration between the mainland and Xinjiang. Only in this way can we ensure the strategic alignment and development linkage between Xinjiang and the mainland, and then promote the social stability as well as people's prosperity in Xinjiang.

This article proposes the following policy recommendations.

1. Introduce special tourism policies.

2. Increase the opening-up of Xinjiang to domestic and foreign tourists.

3. Hold global cultural tourism forums, performance festivals, and related activities to stimulate the tourism market.

4. Increase the investment in Xinjiang's tourism infrastructure.

5. Support the development of Xinjiang's tourism industry by national pairing.

6. Adhere to protect the attractions characterized by the natural, historical, and cultural landscapes.

7. Strengthen the construction of the civilized and healthy tourism market and the tourism culture.

8. Establish a health security medical system and a national security system for tourists.
