Entrepreneurship is a combination of entrepreneurs’ special skills, or the entrepreneurs’ comprehensive ability of establishing and managing enterprises. It is an important and special intangible production factor. For entrepreneurship, innovation is undoubtedly the core, professionalism is the driving force, concentration is the essence, and integrity is the cornerstone. Although entrepreneurship changes with the changes of time and environment, one thing that will never changes is that entrepreneurship is a combination of various excellent qualities and reflects the spirit of outstanding entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is the root of both enterprises and economy, which must be carried forward and effectively protected. The key task at present is to eliminate people’s doubts and concerns. The development of China’s economy, especially the rapid development since the reform and opening up, is the result of the continuous efforts of several generations of outstanding entrepreneurs in the constantly changing market environment, a continuously improving market system, and increasingly intense market competition. It is also growing as those entrepreneurs continuously sum up their experience and learn from their mistakes. Entrepreneurship is among the most important factors in contributing to China’s economic and social development. On September 25, 2017, the Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Creating a Sound Entrepreneur Growth Environment, Advocating Excellent Entrepreneurship and Better Using Entrepreneurs’ Role was released. This is the first time that the Central Committee has identified the status and value of entrepreneurship in a special document and proposed specific requirements and measures for protecting entrepreneurship. This week, Professor Liu Zhibiao, Dean of Yangtze IDEI, held discussions with relevant experts and scholars on the topic “How to Build and Give Play to Excellent Entrepreneurship”.
