Wu Fuxiang: a New National Regional Development Strategy for Re-establishing the Economic Geography Pattern in the New Normal Economy

 Demonstrating the national strategy by re-establishing the economic geography pattern is not only an important strategic measure for China to respond to changes in the complex economic situation at home and abroad, but also a new engine supporting China's future economic growth. Under the new normal, China is constantly strengthening its efforts to re-establish the economic geography pattern. This new strategy is of great significance to China's economic and social development: firstly, on the theoretical level, it embodies the perfect combination of normative welfare economics theory and China's regional economic practice; secondly, at the strategic level, it is beneficial for the overall planning and coordination of regional development strategic planning, main functional areas construction and industrial layout strategy; thirdly, at the level of safeguard measures, it focuses on the matching and interaction of the industrial value chain, innovation value chain, talent value chain, and employment value chain to promote the interactive development of cities and industries. It is also necessary to accurately understand the internal mechanism and connection of the following aspects: first, re-establish the world economic geography and the evolution of China's regional development strategic pattern; second, the change of global governance model and China's second wave of globalization reform dividend; third, the national main functional area planning and the new strategy of "One Road, Two Belts and Three Zones" to support China's economic growth in the future; fourth, the coordinated development of the metropolitan area under the separable functions of the administrative center and the economic center; fifth, the strategic regional governance model and the development strategy of building a country of innovators.
