Abstract: International empirical researches have found that the main point to address the challenge of the middle-income trap is to increase technological innovation, which plays an irreplaceable role in moving towards high-quality growth and high-income stages. The most urgent issue for China to overcome the middle-income trap is to build a long-term development force to overcome middle-technology trap. One of the important reasons for falling into the middle-income trap is that the long-term development force within the economic system is insufficient. The technological innovation has the characteristics of long-term and high-risk, which determine that we need to allocate more development resources to long-term and important things, but not things that currently seem urgent. To truly overcome the most important obstacle and core issue that constrain China's technological and economic development, it is necessary to build the long-term values and development concepts, establish compatible long-term capital guarantees, institutional mechanisms, and behavioral patterns, and encourage long-term input of production factors.
