Abstract: As a people-oriented, innovation-driven and multisystem-coordinated development concept, the integration of science, industry, city and people is not only the key to optimizing the allocation of resources and maximizing the release of development dynamic and potential, but also the requirements of the times, which are proposed in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that we should put the people first, uphold fundamental principles and break new ground, and adhere to the system concept. What's more, it echoes the need to correctly handle a series of major relationships in Chinese path to modernization. As one of the leading regions in Chinese path to modernization, Jiangsu Province has the endowment foundation to promote the integration of science, industry, city and people, but it also faces the risks and challenges of insufficient integration of science and industry, weak integration of science and city, as well as unsmooth integration of science and people. In this regard, it is suggested that Jiangsu Province, in combination with the advanced experience of the mainstream model, promotes the integrated development of science, industry, city and people from the aspects of strengthening the top-level design in the innovation core area, promoting the deep-level coordination of the innovation chain and industry chain, pushing forward the sustainable development of the urban life cycle, creating an innovative ecosystem for releasing talent dividends, and making an innovation consortium for high-quality integration, so as to highlight the leading role, demonstration ability and responsibility in promoting the Chinese path to modernization.
