Abstract: In the background of the current technological revolution, the new productivity is essentially the productivity represented by computing power, which is the economic foundation for the realization of Chinese path to modernization. The new productivity requires that the industrial connotation highlights knowledge, the industrial development is oriented to the future, the industrial layout highlights virtuality, the industrial organization is inclined to be flat, the industrial innovation highlights the fundamentals, and the industrial policy pays attention to the equality. At present, the industrial development in Jiangsu is in the stage of structural reform. It is necessary to continuously increase the proportion of productive service industry, strengthen the connection between the chain-leader enterprises and specialized and sophisticated enterprises, and upgrade the traditional industries. In terms of future industrial development, Jiangsu is confronted with some major problems like the slow pace of overall deployment, imbalanced distribution within the province, and insufficient optimization of the supporting factors. In order to take the lead in the realization of Chinese path to modernization and tackle the challenge of accelerating the development of new productivity, Jiangsu's industrial development should adopt new strategies and measures which include forging strengths and making up for the deficiencies, implementing overall progress and achieving major breakthroughs, promoting virtual agglomeration and physical agglomeration, taking advantage of market demand and system supply, as well as driving the domestic circulation and international circulation.
