Jiangsu Province is an economically developed province in eastern China. The provincial Party Committee has decided that the future development of Jiangsu industries should focus on improving control and competitiveness to integrate Jiangsu’s abundant industrial, technological and talent resources and build an independent and controllable modern industry system. This is how Jiangsu will contribute to building China’s modern industrial system proposed at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Therefore, Professor Liu Zhibiao, Dean of Yangtze IDEI, held in-depth discussions with relevant experts and scholars on the topic “Building an Independent and Controllable Modern Industry System in Jiangsu Province”. They analyzed the connotations and features of the independent and controllable system, and the current basic situation and key areas of development in Jiangsu Province, and proposed relevant suggestions for breakthroughs and key measures.
