At present, China’s economy is operating smoothly, the fundamentals of long-term economic development have not changed, and the momentum of economic structural adjustment and optimization has not changed. At the same time, some supply-side structural problems have appeared in the economic operation. We can start with the three main contradictions of “supply and demand”, “real and virtual”, and “new and old” to analyze these hot issues in depth.Supply and demand: The five key tasks of supply-side structural reforms of “cutting overcapacity, reducing excess inventory, deleveraging, lowering costs, and strengthening areas of weakness” are intrinsically linked. Only the linkage of the five key tasks can solve the problems of overcapacity and achieve a higher level of market supply and demand balance. Real and virtual: the development of the virtual economy must serve the real economy, so that the real economy can obtain the average social return on investment. New and old: at present, the phenomenon of the replacement of the old and the new in China’s economy is very prominent. The trend of economic differentiation continues to increase, and new growth driver should be cultivated in the accelerated economic differentiation.
