Supply-side structural reform is a structural reform in the economic sector in response to the short and medium-term economic situation. And “deepening overall reform” adopted by the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee is a structural reform which aims at the institutional level of China's long-term problem. Both of them should follow the consistent logic of reform and opening up. Supply-side structural reform marks a significant change in China's macroeconomic policy. As an important tool of macro-control, national audit should play an important role as the cornerstone of national governance system. National audit should focus on innovative development, concentrate on five key points of cutting overcapacity, destocking, deleveraging, reducing costs and fixing weak links, and pay attention to the implementation of policies. At the same time, we should pay attention to the performance auditing and the analysis on long-term problems, focus on the risk assessment and early warning, and introduce research-based audit methods, so as to provide policy suggestions for improving the supply efficiency of Chinese economy in the long run.
