Professor Liu believes that to implement the general secretary’s new development concept of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, it is necessary to improve the supply-side structural reform of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Specifically, we must use the most stringent environmental regulations to control the disorderly entry of heavy industrialized companies along the route, and at the same time accelerate the complete withdrawal of high-emission companies, and gradually enable environmentally friendly industries to occupy a dominant position in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. The most important is that we must use new industrialization concepts to carry out structural adjustments, including re-distribution, of the heavy and chemical industries along the rivers and coasts.
