How to turn the focus of development to the whole city of Hangzhou and form the innovative development, coordinated development, open development, green development, agglomeration development and shared development of the whole city is a major strategic issue that Hangzhou must consider in the future. The key to solve this strategic problem is to build Qiantang River Economic Belt in Hangzhou.At present, the development of the Qiantang River area in Hangzhou is facing the following problems: firstly, the positioning of the Qiantang River has not been raised to the required height; secondly, the area along the Qiantang River lacks overall planning, and the industrial spatial positioning needs to be integrated; thirdly, the development of the areas along the Yangtze River lacks a clear theme, with green development ideas being not clear, and development functions need to be strengthened; fourthly, the transportation system supporting the development of both sides of Qiantang River is not complete.To this end, it is recommended to develop and innovate systems and mechanisms for the Hangzhou Riverside Economic Belt, and accelerate the pace of reform; build a comprehensive transportation corridor to achieve intensive development; construct a networked urban system; create an industrial belt with coordinated development and high-end cluster; innovate urban cultural brands; build green ecological corridors; as well as create a colorful waterfront public open space.
