The situation of inbound tourism can not only reflect the economic and political development of the country, especially the tourism development, but also show the economic development of the country where the tourists are located. On September 3-5, 2017, the Ninth BRICS Summit was held in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. On the occasion of the grand event, the "BRIC Countries Joint Statistical Manual 2017" under the charge of the National Bureau of Statistics of China was officially published. From this handbook, it is found that there are some interesting phenomena in the inbound tourism of Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa and China since the 21st century. Specifically, Europeans prefer to travel across continents. The top five countries of South Africa's inbound tourist population are all from Africa. Tourism in China is emerging, with India being favored, while Russia, Brazil and South Africa are mostly ignored concerning tourism.
