China’s market-oriented reform and opening-up is a world miracle of economic and social development and a huge victory of market-oriented reform.Supply-side structural reform is our main task in building a modern economic system, but it must adhere to the general principle of market orientation, for the reason that market-oriented reform is the real foundation for high-quality development.The old problem that should be gradually solved in the new era is to let the market play the decisive role in allocating resources, and let the government play its role better. The problem we met in the past practice lies in the insufficient promotion of market-oriented reform and strong resistance we have faced. From another perspective, it’s also related to the excessive promotion of reform in some aspects. Defining and reforming the relationship between government and market is the main way to further deepen the reform and opening up, and form a modern economic system.
