In recent years, the income of urban and rural residents in Jiangsu has lagged behind the pace of economic growth, the income gap has widened, and the income structure of residents needs to be optimized. Improving business and property income has become an important means to expand the space for income growth and optimize income distribution structure. Based on this, this paper analyzes the current pattern of business and property income of urban and rural residents in Jiangsu province, compares and analyzes the causes with Shanghai and Zhejiang province, and finds that the differentiated economic development mode of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai has a profound impact on income distribution, and the cultural difference affects the behavior of individual entrepreneurship and enterprise innovation. The key to raising people's operating income lies in creating an ecosystem of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, making steady progress in inclusive finance, raising the level of farmers' initial resource endowment, and encouraging appropriate scale operations. The key to raising residents' property income lies in promoting the orderly transfer of rural land management rights in accordance with the law and focusing on ecological enrichment for the people.
