Release time:2018-08-02Author: Chen Zhilong

With the increase in economic aggregates, China is at a critical crossroads. The Chinese nation is facing both rare development opportunities and unprecedented challenges such as the challenges of economic deglobalization, financial liberalization, "post-crisis era" , human historical process, social problems and improving living standards. We will still be in the primary stage for a long time, and we are still a developing country. Although our GDP is the second in the world, the per capita is still pretty low when divided by 1.3 billion people, and there are hundreds of millions of people living below the poverty line as well. Therefore, the economic and social problems and challenges we encounter are arguably the largest and the most difficult to solve in the world, without any capital for conceit. After 40 years of reform and opening up, in the world economic jungle where the weak are meat and the strong do eat, China has gone from being insignificant in the past to being important now, and its achievements have not come easily. But the greater the score, the more applause, the more challenges and difficulties we may face. We must keep a clear mind at all times and try to avoid being in the focus of contradictions when our status is rapidly improving.
