Along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu province is the main agglomeration area of chemical industry, and there are various chemical industrial parks of national, provincial and municipal level. At present, the chemical industry along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu urgently needs to be transformed and upgraded.The difficulties and obstacles faced by the transformation and upgrading of chemical industry are not only related to the cognitive errors that people have taken for granted for a long time, but also related to the technical attributes of the transformation and upgrading of chemical industry. As a pillar industry of national economy, more than 70% of the consumer goods in people's daily consumption of food, clothing, housing and transportation are related to chemical products. But few people are willing to associate chemicals with high-tech industries.Under the guidance of the Yangtze River Economic Belt's strategic guidance of "step up conservation of the Yangtze River and stop its over development", it is urgent to focus on solving the problem of "chemical industry encircling the river", to restore the ecological environment of the Yangtze River, to jointly create an organic and integrated green and efficient economy, and to explore the pattern and path of the transformation and upgrading of the chemical industry along the Yangtze River.First, we should improve the planning and layout of industrial parks and industries.Second, we should step up technological research and development and intensify the upgrading.Third, we should realize the dynamic double transfer of industry around the technology chain.Fourth, we need to integrate the concept of green development into the whole process of transformation and upgrading.Fifth, we should achieve the "Seven Modernizations" in parallel.
