On September 19, 2018, Professor Liu, Dean of the Yangtze River Industrial Economic Research Institute of Nanjing University, was invited to attend the expert consultation meeting on the compilation of the “Outline of High-quality Development Plan for the Yangtze River Delta Region” held by the Regional Department of the National Development and Reform Commission in Beijing and delivered a keynote speech. Professor Liu talked about the promotion path of high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. First, it is necessary to give full play to Shanghai's leading role, and make use of the advantages of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui.Second, it is necessary to fully integrate the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Belt and Road Initiative. Third, it is necessary to replicate and promote the achievements of China's reform and innovation in the Yangtze River Delta.Fourth, it is necessary to promote the integration and linkage of major reform measures.Fifth, the main tasks and content of high-quality integrated development need to be further clarified.Sixth, we need to explore how to build an invisible Internet platform on a tangible enclave.Seventh, it is necessary to encourage the development of mergers and acquisitions with enterprises as the main body, and realize industrial cooperation and coordination with enterprises as the main body.Eighth, the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta also needs the support of industrial policies.
