The trade bullying of the United States has led to a sharp escalation of bilateral tensions, and the relationship between China and the United States is at a critical historical juncture. On September 25th, Wang Yi, State Councilor and foreign minister, met with former US Secretary of state Kissinger in New York to exchange views on Sino-US relations. Both sides believe that cooperation and dialogue will be the only and correct choice for the United States and China.In the past three decades, especially since the beginning of the new century, economic globalization has been accelerating. Sino-US economic and trade relations have made great progress. Objectively speaking, in the past 40 years, China and the United States have formed such a division of labor. In the United States, it is mainly consumption, while in China, it is mainly production. With export and investment leading growth, China has embarked on a unique path: satisfy the ultimate consumption of the western world with the ultimate producer. As the growth patterns of the two major economies are closely linked and complementary, Sino-US economic relations have formed strong interdependence.As long as we do not have prejudice, do not ask exorbitant prices, respect each other's national conditions, stages of development and core interests, and persist in facing each other, there will always be a moment when we can meet and smile and forget our gratitude and resentment. We are afraid of the formation of path dependence in the thinking model and the “fermentation” of habitual prejudice.
