The first China International Import Expo will open in Shanghai from November 5th to November 10th, 2018. On the morning of November 5th, President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony of the first China International Import Expo and deliver a keynote speech. China International Import Expo is by far the world's first national exhibition with import as the theme. The Expo is another important support for the Belt and Road Initiative. It is also an international public product provided by the Chinese government to promote economic globalization, an international arena for global opening-up and cooperation, a concrete action to build a community with a shared future for mankind, and a new platform for countries around the world to share the Chinese market.At present, there are a lot of export rankings, but there is a lack of import list. In order to better "actively expand imports" and let governments, industries and enterprises understand the basic situation of China's import, our research group, after a long period of preparation, comprehensively collected, carefully checked and scientifically calculated the data of provinces, cities, industries and enterprises. Based on the data of import scale in 2017, we adopted the centennial system method, and formed the “Import Ranking List of China in 2018”.
