In the speech at the 19th Academician Conference of the Chinese Academy of Science and the 14th Academician Conference of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that "enterprises are the mainstay of innovation and the driving force of creation". At the symposium on private enterprises, General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that "for a long time, private entrepreneurs have organized and led millions of workers to make great efforts and start their own businesses with painstaking efforts and continuous innovation. The private sector's contributions are undeniable for the country to be able to make miraculous achievements in economic development”. Private economy and Private entrepreneurs are the main forces of reform and opening-up and innovation development, as well as important forces to promote the economic and social development of our country. We should implement innovation-driven development and vigorously support private enterprises to improve their scientific and technological innovation ability. In order to make the private economy achieve higher quality, more efficiency, more fairness and sustainable development, we should fully understand the characteristics of private enterprises’ innovation development in "the excellent entrepreneurship", be brave in clearing some apparently right but actually wrong understandings, and give more encouragement, stronger support and better service to private enterprises in the aspects of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development.
