China's economy has shifted from the stage of rapid growth to the stage of high-quality development. Jiangsu Province has taken the initiative to introduce the high-quality development monitoring and assessment methods in the form of documents issued by the general office of the provincial Party committee, which are Jiangsu High-quality Development Monitoring Evaluation Index System and Implementation Measures, and Annual Assessment Index and Implementation Measures of High-quality Development of Districts and Cities. It shows that Jiangsu Province has taken the lead in having the operation guide in terms of actively meeting the requirements of the central government in promoting high-quality development.On the whole, the current monitoring and evaluation index system of high-quality development in Jiangsu has formed a complete system with the Jiangsu high-quality comprehensive statistical index system as the main body and the annual assessment index of high-quality development of districts and cities as the supplement. However, the evaluation index system still has room for improvement. In addition, the author also puts forward nine suggestions to promote the high-quality development of Jiangsu Province.
