Since the 21st century, the importance of the service industry in China’s economic and social development as an industrial grasper for structural adjustment has been gained unprecedented emphasis and attention in both academia and policy making. It is very important to examine and confirm the inflection point in time of the acceleration of China's service industry. It not only affects the division of China’s industrialization stage, but also helps to find the reasons for the accelerated growth of the service industry. It also directly affects the macro-control methods, ideas and the formulation of relevant industrial policy.Statistical performance: Combining the nominal and actual statistical changes in the proportion of the service industry's added value, we can know that the inflection point in time of the acceleration of China's service industry falls between 2010 and 2012.Confirmation of the inflection point in time: Based on China's provincial panel data from 2002 to 2016, we establish an individual fixed effects model, and try to use econometric methods to make judgments. Whether the per capita income standard is used or the time point standard is used, the empirical results of measurement all point to the inflection point in time of the acceleration of China's service industry in 2011.
