Self-developed and controllable modern industrial system refers to independent development ability and international competitiveness of modern industrial system. This ability is reflected in the controlling ability on core technology, standards, brands and other elements of entities with controlling rights of domestic capital. To a large extent, it can master and control the development process and direction of industries by maintaining the state's rights to subsistence, pricing power and usufruct, so as to ensure the national industrial security.From the provincial level, it is impossible and unnecessary to control all fields and links of modern industrial system. It requires us to consider what is the shortest link to focus on so as to obtain the highest marginal income based on the national demand and the provincial conditions.Based on the national development demand and the industrial characteristics of Jiangsu Province, this paper discusses the principles of selecting and determining the self-developed and controllable industries, the current advantages and key development directions of Jiangsu Province.
