Promoting the construction of the Yangtze Delta Sci-Tech Innovation Circle is undoubtedly an important “first move” for building a world-class innovation highland and supporting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta. As one of the regions with the highest degree of opening up in China, it should be a significant direction to build the Yangtze Delta Sci-Tech Innovation Circle with an open mind.Firstly, sci-tech revolution and industrial transformation are worldwide phenomena. To build the sci-tech innovation circle, it’s necessary to connect with the forefront of the international sci-tech and industrial revolution. Secondly, transnational transfer and cooperation of technological innovation have become an important development trend of economic globalization. So, we have to deeply integrate into the global innovation chain system. Thirdly, with the change of the world economy, especially the development of China, multinational companies have implemented the so-called "reverse innovation" strategy one after another, which means more R&D activities are placed in the emerging market economies, and the innovative products are sold to global markets including developed countries. Therefore, we should attach great importance to the transformation of the innovation strategy, create a world-class business environment, attract more R&D centers, operation centers, and headquarters of multinational companies to come to the Yangtze River Delta, and promote the sci-tech innovation and industrial upgrading through cooperation and competition.
