First of all, from several theoretical perspectives, this paper summarizes the definition, connotation and company’s behavior motivation of the ruptured alliance relationship, and finds that enterprises have the motivation and behavior of actively ending alliance relationship. Then, as for the relevant tools and social factors, we review the literatures on the antecedent factors and situational factors that affect enterprises, enterprises' dual alliance relationship and network fracture, and its consequences. It is found that the existing researches on the antecedents of ruptured alliance relationship are very rich, but the conclusions are scattered and lack of integration. At the same time, the study on its consequences is still in the initial stage with many related problems. Finally, from the aspects of antecedents, potential consequences, and research methods, the future direction of the research on ruptured alliance relationship is proposed in the paper.
