After the service industry became the industry sector with the highest proportion of China's economy, some scholars and important officials even made a major conclusion that China's economy has entered the era of "service". The question is, when did China's economic "servitization" begin to accelerate? It is very important to investigate and confirm the turning point of the accelerated development of China's service industry. The statistical performance of the accelerated development of China's service industry: first of all, in the new century, the value-added of China's service industry began to show an accelerated upward trend in 2011 based on the price of that year. Secondly, around 2012, the proportion of China's service industry measured by constant price also shows a trend of " accelerated development". To sum up, according to the change of nominal proportion of service industry, the turning point of the accelerated development of China's service industry is around 2010 or 2011.Confirmation of the turning point of the accelerated development of China's service industry: in order to determine the specific " turning point" of the accelerated development of China's service industry in recent years, next, based on China's provincial panel data from 2002 to 2016, we establish an individual fixed effect model, and try to use econometric methods to determine. We find that whether using per capita income standard or time point standard, the empirical results point out that the turning point of the accelerated development of China's service industry is 2011.
