However, the current measures to promote the development of integration are either concentrated within the scope of the demonstration area with Shanghai as the center, or focus on promoting the integrated cooperation in various "fields", They hardly pay attention to the realistic pattern of regional integration of "one superpower and several major powers" and "strong in the east and weak in the west", and they also lack targeted measures to make good use of the strategic fulcrum of "multi-great power" and to complement the strategic value of "weak in the west".Therefore, it is suggested that "regional thinking" should be added to the measures of integration. Specifically, it is to build urban agglomeration in the west region of the Yangtze River Delta with Nanjing as the center, as the key support for the global integration.There is also a solid historical and realistic basis for the construction of urban agglomeration in the West Region of the Yangtze River Delta with Nanjing as the central city. It includes geographical location, strategic opportunities, the demand of hinterland and spatial pattern.For Nanjing, to take the lead in building urban agglomeration in the west region of the Yangtze River Delta is to take the opportunity of integrated development, take the urban agglomeration as the main battlefield, and take high-quality development as the main line.First, we should do a good job in the coordination and docking of major urban strategies at the level of "one superpower and several major powers".Second, we should establish and improve the inter-city policy cooperation and linkage mechanism within the metropolitan area.Third, we should deepen reform, actively open up and build the integrated market in the west Region of the Yangtze River Delta.
