Nanjing, located at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui, is the key node of the strategy of China's regional economic development changing from the development of the East to the comprehensive development of the eastern, central and western regions, and also an important node of China's coastal opening-up becoming the comprehensive opening-up. Aiming at the National Central City, Nanjing builds the growth pole of the Western Yangtze River Delta with high standards, promotes the regional integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, conforms to the overall pattern of China's all-round development and opening-up.It is relatively mature and has a certain practical foundation to build the economic corridor along the Yangtze River Delta in the north; it is conducive to the economic energy of Shanghai and Nanjing to cross the Yangtze River and radiate the north of Jiangsu, so as to realize the goal of revitalization of the north of Jiangsu; it is also conducive to making use of the existing traffic arteries in the north of the Yangtze River to build a reasonable economic corridor, forming a closed loop with the channel along the Yangtze River in the south, so as to help Nanjing construct its own economic corridor in the north Hinterland, enhance the primacy and influence. The development of regional integration of the Yangtze River Delta should first form a number of small metropolitan areas to promote higher-level integration with the development of these small units. In order to implement the strategy of Nanjing Metropolitan Coordinating Region and improve the primacy of Nanjing. We should focus on solving the problem that the land area of Nanjing is too small relative to the same level cities. We should also focus on solving the problem that small permanent population and insufficient energy level of central city.
