At present, generally speaking, China's economy has shifted from high-speed growth to high-quality development. Focusing on the main line of high-quality economic development and reform and opening-up, this paper briefly reviews the hot topics of economic research in the first half of this year.We should promote the high-quality economic development. At present, the main driving force of China's economic growth comes from final consumption. The rise of residents' income and consumption upgrading are not only the driving force of economic growth, but also the purpose of economic growth, reflecting the development concept of "people-centered". This kind of economic growth is essentially high-quality development led by the new development concept. At the same time, high-quality development is inseparable from the support of scientific and technological innovation, and independent innovation has become another hot topic of economic research this year.Reform and opening-up should be high-quality and they promote each other. The construction of the socialist market economy system provides the system and rule basis for opening-up, which forces the reform to deepen. Opening-up itself is also reform. At present, China's system reform has entered a new stage of comprehensive reform. The integrity, systematicness and coordination of the reform need to be strengthened, and the top-level design of the reform needs to be strengthened. On the other hand, it also shows that the reform has entered a crucial period, and the difficulty of the reform is increasing.China's opening-up has entered a new stage, and great changes have taken place in the environment of opening-up. On the one hand, we should resolutely fight against US trade protectionism and bullying, strive to bring the US back to the negotiation table and reach a mutually beneficial and win-win agreement; on the other hand, we should do our own things well, unswervingly expand opening-up according to our own schedule, and deal with Sino-US trade frictions with high-quality opening-up. We should speed up the construction of "the Belt and Road Initiatives", and establish the concept of "community of human destiny" to lead globalization. While promoting the mobility of trade and factors and opening-up, we should increase institutional opening-up, maintain multilateral trading system, build a new pattern of comprehensive opening-up, and establish a new open economic system at a higher level.
