The establishment of Nanjing Area is a milestone for Nanjing to better build a national central city in the new era, enhance the function of the provincial capital and the primacy of the central city, and deeply integrate into the national strategic layout. It is necessary for Nanjing Area to innovate boldly, put forward "Early and Pilot Implementation", and form replicable and popularized experience through trial and error and risk assessment, so as to become a "test field" for integrating international economic and trade rules and comprehensively deepening reform and opening-up.It is suggested to promote the high-quality development of Nanjing Area in the new era from the following aspects:First, the provincial Party committee and the provincial government should issue relevant opinions to support the high-quality development of Nanjing Area in the new era, and give Jiangbei New Area greater autonomy in reform and opening-up.Second, we should deeply study the demanding rules and new standards of international economy and trade, and carry out differentiated and characteristic integrated system innovation in view of the goal of the construction and shortcomings of Nanjing Area.Third, we should promote the agglomeration of major scientific and technological innovation platforms and headquarters enterprises in Nanjing Area, explore the implementation of tax system with international competitiveness, create a world-class highland for scientific innovation and industry, and create new competitive advantages.Fourth, we should promote the integrated development of industry and city, enhance the function of the high-quality international city of Nanjing Area, create a new image of the pilot Free Trade Zone in the new era and a pilot demonstration zone for socialist modernization construction.Fifth, we should strengthen the multi-level interactive development, promote the free flow and efficient allocation of regional innovation factors, and effectively enhance the agglomeration, radiation and influence of Nanjing Area.
