COVID-19 has been listed as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. WHO believes that China will effectively control and eventually overcome the epidemic. The remarks and actions of a few Western countries such as the United States are disappointing. Experts believe that the confidence of the international community in our country's victory over the epidemic will not be shaken. Among them, Liu Zhibiao, dean of the Yangtze River Institute of Industrial Economics at Nanjing University, believes that the competitiveness of China’s modern industrial chain is still very strong. WHO made this decision out of the consideration of jointly maintaining global and regional public health security with China. It is helpful for countries around the world to attach great importance to coordinated control and prevention, thereby minimizing mobile infections and controlling the spread of the epidemic as quickly as possible. No country in the world can truly leave China's modern industrial system and complete, cost-effective supply chain formed after more than 40 years of reform and opening up. The epidemic cannot destroy its supply capacity and long-term accumulated human and technological capital. As long as the isolation control is effective, production can be restored soon, and the competitiveness of China's modern industrial chain remains strong.
