Zhang Erzhen, chief expert of the Yangtze River Industrial Economics Research Institute of Nanjing University, said in an interview: Firstly, the epidemic has affected almost all aspects of the national economy, involving all industries, and the slow economic growth in the first quarter is a foregone conclusion. Small and medium-sized consumer service enterprises have suffered the most losses, followed by an open economy. Thirdly, after the epidemic stabilizes, our country will definitely introduce relevant policies, mainly proactive fiscal and monetary policies to stimulate economic recovery. Finally, China is a super-large economy, with sufficient resilience, great potential, and institutional advantages. We firmly believe that the impact of the epidemic is phased and temporary, and will not change the fundamentals of China's long-term economic improvement.
