The rapid spread of the epidemic among the world has had a significant impact on domestic and foreign trade through four main aspects, which are direct demand channel, indirect supply chain effect, tourism and travel channel, and finance and emotion channel.We should actively take the following measures based on the development of the epidemic, domestic situation and international situation.1. Encourage to expand the export of medical products for COVID-19 containment, and maintain the existing industrial chain’s distribution pattern.2. Promote enterprises to increase production, explore other business opportunities, support the domestic sale of export products and change their careers.3. Appropriately expanding the import scale is encouraged, especially from the United States.4. Assist enterprises to solve international logistics problems.5. Introduce special measures to support foreign trade enterprises, especially small and medium-sized ones.All in all, the spread of the epidemic among the world has led to the second half of the fight against it, and we cannot totally protect ourselves. It’s no longer possible to stabilize the amount of foreign trade. In this paper, the basic idea of stabilizing foreign trade is to find ways to keep foreign trade enterprises that don’t sell products for COVID-19 containment to ”keep their breath” and retain their operation capacity until the warm spring of the world economy.
